This area originally consisted of a number of small serpentine grasslands surrounding a wooded area. The area was cut in 2005 and scraped in 2006. Some serpentine grass seeds were broadcast in a small area but generally the serpentine vegetation was allowed to redevelop by itself. Maintenance was undertaken in 2008, and 2012.
