Sunday, April 19, Rm. 235, Lincoln University, 3:00-5:00 4. - Outreach – Tracy led us through a series of power point slides illustrating her ideas for how the organization could enhance outreach and develop a more effective relationship with volunteers and partners. We found the general outline of areas to address very helpful and agreed to break these down into immediate steps, rebranding our work/restoration days, and finding time for a richer conversation about communicating our mission. Immediate She has in mind committing the organization to updating Facebook 4-5 times each week starting as soon as possible but with an immediate focus on creating interest in the April 14 OHA talk and our first round of Serps days in May. Bob will contact Mike Bertram and Marci to discuss having Tracy take the lead in updating our Facebook page; conference call to follow. Tracy will draft membership email and share with board with primary focus on a save-the-date for the April 14 OHA talk. Tracy will share ideas for what sort of pamphletting we should have available for April 14 talk. Rebranding our work/restoration days The more people we attract to activity days on the barrens, the more likely we can accomplish our restoration/maintenance goals while creating opportunities for folks who have no or limited capacity for physically intense work to enjoy and serve the barrens. One idea is to call these Serps days and to offer a wide range of activities for participants. We hope to experiment in implementing these ideas as we prepare for our May and June Serps days (see 8 below). Developing a longer term branding/communication strategy We agreed that we will need to allocate a separate meeting/retreat to explore these issues at length. 5.
