Nottingham County Park Activity Report
for 23rd October 2015

Participants: Thanks to Ranger John Coberly, Patsy Koning, Bill Whittaker, Kent Wagner and Mike Waltz — here at the end of our lunch break — and to Park Superintendent Jay Gregg.

Full report: We had gorgeous weather  for today’s restoration activities at Nottingham Park, confronting primarily greenbriar that had encroached on a site that has the potential to be a lovely serpentine savanna.

We pushed back the greenbriar, including making several connections to an isolated bit of savanna.

If you haven’t been out this way recently, Nottingham Park (actually all our barrens) is gorgeous. The sites we’ve been working on most recently are accessible on the Buck Trail on the southern edge of the Park.
