Waterloo Road at Arlington Road (now Lancaster Avenue), Devon

image not foundDescription: Note on back: up the side of our place, the north side. This Lucy Sampson photo was taken in the early 1900s looking south on Waterloo Road, a little north of the intersection at Arlington Road (now Lancaster Avenue). Lucy would have been standing roughly in front of what is today (2021) the Devon Post Office. The note on the back of the picture says 'Our place on the left. Warren's place on the right." "Our place" seems to refer to the W.B. Paxson property which is shown on the 1900 J.L. Smith map across Waterloo Road from Henry M. Warren's "Fairfield." Warren's property would be where the TD Bank and Mercedes dealer are located today, 2021. MW 20210122
