John Christie senior purchased a tract of 250 acres in 1754. Based on the Tax Records he died between 1762 and 1765. His will is not at the Chester County Archives but his property seems to have been inherited by his widow Sarah and his 2 sons David and John Christie junior.

The Glass Tax returns show the following buildings on the John Christrie junior tract: A Stone House of 30’ x 26’ on 2 floors. Windows: 4 of 24 panes; and 2 of 18 panes. There was also a Stone Barn 57’ x 30’.
