Mordecai Cornog Farm | |
Thomas Hubbert acquired a tract of 200 acres in 1712. The property then passed down through the family until 1808 when Elizabeth Davis sold it to John and David Maxwell. Abner Cornog acquired the tract in 1835. Then Mordecai Cornog inherited the tract from his father in 1856. He died around 1882. David family members owned the farm into the 20th century. | |

The house has been demolished. The Glass Tax returns list the following buildings: a Stone House 25’ x 20’, 2 floors. Windows: 5 of 15 panes; and 1 of 3 panes. Additionally a Stone Kitchen 25’ x 13’; a Stone Washhouse 20’ x 12’ a Log Barn 36’ x 17’ and a Log House 18’ x 18’. | |
