This map is based on deed histories derived from documents at the Chester County Archives and the Chester County Historical Society.

David Powell was the deputy surveyor for Chester County, responsible for the northern part of the county. He was also a land dealer, patenting many tracts and then selling them. Where these patent and sale transactions occurred the person who purchased the tract from David Powell is listed.

The deed histories reference deed plans in many places. These plans have not been attached to the document at this time.
