Shallow pit, trench, and adit operations. Prospected in the mid-1800's and mined sporadically into the 1940's.Produced some 60 or more tons of ore averaging about 0.4 oz. Au/T, 3% Pb, 2 oz. Ag/T.5

Geology

Narrow, irregular veins of quartz and brecciated Jurassic quartz monzonite and mineralized with spotty, partially oxidized, auriferous and argentiferous galena and minor chalcopyrite. Associated dark pyritized dikes.5
