Students of the Easttown High School, Berwyn, PA

image not foundDescription: The Easttown High School in Berwyn operated as the township’s secondary school through the graduation of the Class of 1908. The new consolidated high school for both Easttown and Tredyffrin was built in 1908, and called the “1908 building.” It is believed that Lucy Sampson took this image of the last graduating class from the separate Easttown High School in May or June, 1908. Undergraduates in the Easttown High School would have continued their education the following September at the new joint high school where today’s Tredyffrin-Easttown Middle School now stands. The old Easttown High School stood abandoned until 1926, when it was torn down. - Herb Fry and Roger Thorne
