May Pole Fete, Easttown School, Berwyn - 1904

image not foundDescription: The school on Bridge Avenue was actually a consolidated school; a grammar school on the first floor, and a high school on the second floor. This image by Lucy Sampson, looking northwest, is believed to be taken on the first of May, 1904, and shows the younger children dancing around the May Pole in the front of the school. The two structures in the background were unnamed, overflow buildings, later constructed for various purposes. - Herb Fry and Roger Thorne
