Description: This image from 1905 by Lucy Sampson looks WNW from the bridge over Valley Road onto the PRR Main Line and the Paoli train yard of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Under the semaphore bridge - 1904, a D-class steam locomotive hauls four coaches out of the railyard via the “duckunder” to comprise the next Paoli Local as it pulls into Paoli station. The Paoli interlocking tower is clearly seen in the middle of the image, as well as the Dewees & Bracken lumber and coal yard and feed business on the right. - Herb Fry and Roger Thorne
