Richardson House

image not foundDescription: The Richardson House, a magnificent structure built between 1887 and 1900 on the scale of the Devon Inn, which burned to the ground in the mid-1930s, effectively shared a vast property east of Valley Forge Road, Devon, with the Eliza Cathcart mansion to the south, and the legendary Hammer Hollow on the east. A shared entrance, near the present-day Sentry Lane, immediately connected to a circular drive, which lead south to the Richardson estate, and north to the facing estate 300 yards south up the hill called the Cathcart House. - Herb Fry and Roger Thorne
