St David’s Church

image not foundDescription: This Lucy Sampson image, taken between 1908 and 1910, looks SE at the sacristy and rear of Old Saint David’s Church, a perspective not often photographed. The attached stairwell on the right of the sanctuary leads to the second level “gallery.” This differs from St. David’s “twin”, St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley, where the latter has an internal stairway to its “gallery.”
