Interior of St. Monica’s R.C. Church, 1904

image not foundDescription: The interior of St. Monica Roman Catholic Church was quite ornamental and absolutely magnificent. Very ornate, with a beautiful stained-glass rendering of Saint Monica, a raised altar, dark wooden pews, and many sculpted angels. Fortunately, in the wake of the devastating fire in 1991, one of the few items to survive was the stained glass portrayal of Saint Monica, which today graces the new church. - Herb Fry and Roger Thorne
