Revoutionary War Soldier Memorial Marker, Valley Forge Park
Description: Memorial Marker-Revolutionary War Soldier Here lie the remains of a Revolutionary Soldier shot on a neighboring farm during the winter of 1777-1778. DESCRIPTION - Carved marble, 20 x 16 x 9. DONOR & DATE - Daughters of the American Revolution, pre-1902. HISTORICAL DATA - According to local tradition the soldier was shot by Devault Beaver when he caught him milking a cow on his farm. The farm was located N.E. of the Havard property, Knox Quarters, and Maxwells Quarters, the John Brown Property.
