On Saturday the twenty fourth day of January, 1818, at two o’clock in the afternoon, at the tavern house on the premises; a certain messuage, and two tracts of land, in the township of Tredyffrin, in the county of Chester. One whereof, on which is situated the tavern house; bounded by lands of Joshua Evans, Randal Evans, Daniel Baugh and others, containing sixty eight acres and seventy perches, more or less, with the appurtenances. The other whereof, bounded by land late of Joel Evans and others, containing twelve acres, more or less, with the appurtenances. The above property is situated on the Philadelphia and Lancaster turnpike, about 17 miles from the city; and the house has long been occupied as a licensed Inn, known by the sign of the “Black Bear” and is a very eligible stand.
