Valley Plantations for Sale.

To be sold at Public Sale, on Tuesday, the 21st October next, at one o’clock in the afternoon, on the premises -

A valuable Tavern, Plantation and Tract of Land (known as Howell’s Tavern,) situate in the township of Tredyffrin, Chester county, and at the junction of Swede’s Ford or Great Valley Road and a road from Philadelphia to the Yellow Springs, adjoining lands of the late Judge Davis, John Jones and others, containing about 168 acres of Limestone Land, one third part which is Woodland, a proportion of watered Meadow; the remainder is divided into convenient sized fields, and in good cultivation.

The buildings consist of a Tavern House, two barns and sheds, all substantial built of stone, a good frame Wagon-house, and log Tenant House. There is a fountain pump at the Tavern door, supplying also a well finished stone Milk House. There is a Lime Kiln and Quarries of excellent Limestone. The above property is one and a half miles from the Lancaster turnpike, and eighteen miles from Philadelphia; convenient for mills, schools, and places of public worship. Any person wishing to view the premises, will be shewn them by Mr George Davis, living thereon.

Also at the same time and place will be offered for sale, a PLANTATION, (subject to the Widow’s Dower, being for life,) situate in the Township and County aforesaid, containing about 134 acres of first-rate Valley Land, late the property of Rees Howell, deceased - a good proportion of which is Woodland. Also two Lots of thriving Chesnut Timber, of about 11 acres. The arable land is divided into fields of convenient size, and is in the best state of cultivation.

The improvements are a large House and Barn, Wagon-house, Spring-house, and all the necessary buildings of a Farm, new, and substantially built of stone, adjoining lands of Joseph Walker, the heirs of the late Dr John Davis and others, two miles from the Lancaster turnpike and sixteen from Philadelphia, - Any person wishing to view the property, will apply to Mr Jeremiah Stephens, living thereon.
