The manufacturing establishment for Satinets in Tredyffrin township, Chester County, 2 miles north of the Warren Tavern, on the Lancaster Turnpike, and two and a half miles from the state rail road. The machinery moved by water power from the north branch at the valley creek, consists in 1 overshot water wheel with governor; 1 mule with 216 spindles, not 6 months in use, 10 power looms for satinets do do; 1 picker; 2 carding machines; 1 filling stock and machine; a quantity of bobbins, spools and other utensils; also some double hand looms for flannels. The buildings attached to the manufactory are one 3 story stone mill containing the above machinery; 1 stone dye house with a large copper kettle; 1 two story stone house fitted for a store or dwelling house; 1 steam house; 1 two story dwelling house. The above will be let for a term of years not exceeding 4 years; or the machinery (except the water wheel) will be sold on reasonable terms. Apply on the premises to U. S. Gazette 9/3/1832 |
