Recited that grantor by deed dated 6-4-1834 granred and demised to grantee all those two portions of his land at Valley Forge for the purpose of opening a quarry or quarries and extracting said stone therefrom which said deed has been lost or mislaid.

Now this is to certify that the following are the conditions and covenants contained in said deed of lease; that grantor demises and lets unto grantee all those two portions of his land wherein sand stone is found for the purpose of opening a quarry or quarries therein and extracting sand stone therefrom yielding and paying unto the said grantor 30 cents a ton for all stone quarried and taken away suitable for cutting and the sum of 15 cents per perch for all stone suitable only for common mason work. Said grantees to have free ingress, egress and regress and wharfage on the river schuylkill for the purposes aforesaid, and they shall pay the grantor not less than $30 per annum, and not tresspass on ground of grantor further than necessary for the purposes aforesaid.
