License Petition for the Eagle Hotel

We the subscribers agents, of the Commonwealth on the Columbia & Philadelphia Railway, hereby certify that the stopping place known as the Spread Eagle Water Station, is required for the advantageous use of the Railway, at which a Hotel has lately been erected by Mifflin Lewis esquire, thereby forming a convenient point for the reception of Passengers, we therefore respectfully recommend the said Hotel to be licensed for the accommodation of Passengers on the Railway and the Public in general.
