License Petition for the Eagle Hotel

To the Honorable the Judge of the Court of General Quarter Sessions in and for the County of Chester:

The Subscribers, Citizens of the township of Tredyffrin, in the said county, respectfully certify, that they are well acquainted with the within named Mifflin Lewis, and the house described in the within petition, that the inn or tavern prayed for by the said Lewis, is necessary to accommodate the public and entertain the ? travellers, and that the said Mifflin Lewis is of good repute fro honesty and temperance, and is well provuded with house, room, and conveniences for the accommodation of strangers and travellers.
