Improvements on the Pennsylvania Railroad

The Pennsylvania railroad company is making some important improvements at Malvern, Chester county. We are informed that a Y is to be made at that point for turning cars, and when completed the accommodation trains which now start from Paoli, will be changed to Malvern, thus affording connections with all trains on the West Chester road. This will be a great convenience and will serve to bring Malvern into more prominence as a railroad centre.

It is also said that the company will commence in a few days the straightening of the track at Green Tree, and in doing so the old hotel now owned and occupied by the Ex-Sheriff Davis Gill, will be sadly interfered with, and perhaps totally demolished. It has long been one of the landmarks of central Chester county.
