Blue Ball Inn

The Philadelphia Gazette, 11/16/1753

To be sold, by public vendue, on Wednesday, the 6th day of December next,

A Plantation, belonging to THOMAS McKEAN, situate on Connestoga great road, in the Township of Tredyffrin, in the county of Chester, containing 200 acres, and allowance, whereon is a licensed Tavern of great trade, 19 miles from Philadelphia, and commonly known by the name of the Ball; has on it a good brick house and stone kitchen, a large orchard, good barn, stables and outhouses; about the half of it cleared, all under good fences, well watered and timbered, and has good meadows and pastures to accommodate the said place. At said time will be exposed to sale, cows, horses, shop and sundry sorts of household goods, where reasonable credit may be had, and due attendance given by, THOMAS McKEAN.
