Funeral of John D. Evans |

Date: 11 June 1884 The funeral of John D. Evans took place from his late residence on Tuesday last. Many of the older citizens of the county, his friends and acquaintances of long standing, were in attendance. Addresses were made at the house by two members of the Society of Friends, Phebe Roberts and ? Pilkington, after which the remains were conveyed to the Great Valley Baptist Church, one mile east of Centreville, in Tredyffrin township, and deposited in its burial grounds beside those of his father, General Joshua Evans, his mother, brother and sister.
