Valley Farm For Sale

12.17.1823 Village Record
PURSUANT to an order from the
Orphans' court of Chester county will
be exposed to public sale, on Saturday
the third day of January next, at 1 o'clock
in the afternoon, on the premises, a
valuable plantation, of limestone land, late
the property of Dr. John Davis, dec.
situate in Tredyffrin township, Chester Co.
about 16 miles from the city of Philadelphia,
one and an half mies north of the
Spread Eagle tavern - adjoining lands of
Dr. William Harris and others, containing
162 3-4 acres, about 30 of which are
woodland, the remainder in a good state
of cultivation, having a limekiln and
limestone quarries on the same - the buildings
are a large stone house, barn part stone,
a new stone Waggon-house, a stone
spring house over a never failing spring
of water.
Possession will be given to the purchaser
on the first of April next, on complying
withe the terms of sale, which will be
made known by
