A Farm at Private Sale.

10.12.1831 Village Record
WILL be offered at Private Sale, all
that Plantation, late the Estate of
Wm. Thomas, dec'd, situate in the
township of Tredyffrin, county of Chester,
on the Swede's Ford [Swedesford] Road, 18 miles from
Philadelphia ; bounded by lands of Israel
Davis, Adam Reinwalt, David Wilson, and
others - containing 93 Acres ; 10 of which
are watered meadow, 12 of excellent
woodland, the remainder plough land, in a high
state of cultivation, having lately been limed
at the rate of 160 bushels per acre ; all
under good fence.
The improvements are a large and commodious
stone house, 48 feet in front, with 5 rooms
on the first floor, 6 rooms on the 2d, with a
good garret - a stone barn 63 by 43 feet,
with stabling underneath, with a stream of water
passing through the barn-yard. There is
also on the premises a wagon-house, chair-house,
hog-house, ice-house, smoke-house,
cider-press, lime-kiln, and excellent lime-stone
quarries ; a never failing spring near the dwelling
house, and a valuable water power from
Valley creek, which passes through it.
Conveniently situated for mills, schools and places of
worship ; within one mile of the Lancaster
turnpike and eight from Norristown.
Persons wishing to view the property will be
shown by applying to the subscribers living on
the premises.
They also offer for sale a lot of WOOD-LAND
principally young chesnut, containing 9 acres,
adjoining lands of J.G. Bull, Wm. Hall, and
others.
