ALSO,
By virtue of a writ of Venditioni Exponas to
me directed, will be sold at Public Sale, on
SATURDAY, the 25th day of June, A.D. 1853,
at 1 o'clock, P.M., on the premises, No. 1, a
certain Messuage, spooling and bobbin Factory
and tract of land, situate in the township of Tredyffrin,
in the county of Chester, bounded by
lands of James Maloney, dec'd, Susanna Sheniman,
Samuel Beaver, sr., and others, containing
34 acres, more or less, with the appurtenances.
The land is of a good quality, well improved
and very productive; it is also well watered and
fenced, with a good proportion of meadow and
woodland for the same. There is an apple orchard
and fruit trees of different kinds on the
premises: The improvements consist of a two
story Stone and Log House, with kitchen
attached and piazza in front,. and finished
in modern style; stone spring house over
a never-failing spring near the dwelling; a two
story stone Spooling and Bobbin Factory, formerly
used as a grist mill with 2 pair of burs,
with a head and fall of 33 feet; stone dam, built
in the best manner; stable, hen house, corn crib,
and other out buildings, all in good repair.
No. 2 - A certain messuage and lot or piece
of land, situate in the township and county aforesaid,
bounded by No. 1, lands of James Stott and
others, containing about 4 acres, more or less,
with the appurtenances. The land is of a good
quality well improved and very productive; it is
also well watered and fenced, with a a good proportion
of meadow and woodland for the same.
There is an apple orchard and fruit trees of different
kinds on the premises. The improvements
consist of a two story Stone House, with
kitchen attached and piazza in front, and
finished in modern style; frame spring
house, over a never-failing spring near the dwelling;
stone barn, and other out buildings, all in
good repair; a stone dam, with a head and fall of
about 12 feet. Mills, schools, and places of public
worship abound in the immediate neighborhood.
