The Paoli Heights Land Company Application for corporate charter

11.19.1881 L
- An application will be made for the charter
of an intended corporation to be called
"The Paoli Heights Land Company."
Above language is cut off, but appears to read:
Judge Wilson, ?, Common Pleas Court
No. 4, Philadelphia, has made a preliminary
decree, directing that the application
of the Paoli Heights Land Company
for dissolution, be advertised. Thew company
is a Pennsylvania corporation, and
was organized for the purchase and sale
of land, its principal operations being in
Delaware county.
It is asserted that all debts and obligations
of the company have been discharged
and its assets distributed among
the stockholders, who held a duly convened
meeting on July 17 last, and adopted
a resolution to discontinue the business
of the company and wind up its affairs.
The petition for dissolution is signed
by Samuel R. Shipley, President, and
attested by J. Robert Foulke, Secretary
and Treasurer.

The Paoli Heights Land Company continued to operate in Paoli until at least 1899.
