Sale of Hotel Property

Sale of Hotel Property. - The well known
hotel property at Valley Forge, which has
been in the Hoy family for a number of years
past, was sold at public sale on Saturday last.
John L. Hoy, of Norristown, one of the heirs,
was the purchaser - the price paid was $4500.
At the same time two acres of land adjoining
the hotel property was also disposed of to
the same person, for $240. These properties
were sold after proceedings in partition in the
Orphans' Court. Wm. M. Hayes, Esq., was
appointed to make sale upon petition of the
parties. Jas. E. McFarlan, of this borough,
was the auctioneer.
