Land Sale by Jones family (1762) |
Date: 4 March 1762 The Pennsylvania Gazette TO be sold, by public Vendue, on Monday, the 22d Day of this inst. March, on the Premises, A valuable Plantation, situated in Tredyffrin, in Chester County, 18 Miles from Philadelphia, adjoining the great Road leading from the Swedes Ford to Lancaster, within a Mile of Joseph Mitchell's Mill, containing about 148 Acres of good Land, about one Half cleared, 16 of which is good Meadow, and more may be made; a large and good bearing Orchard; the Corn Land very good, and the Wood Land well timbered; a good Stone Dwelling house, Stone Spring hose, Barn and Stables; also a very good Limestone Quarry, with a Kiln ready made, and another Quarry of Tile Stones.
