Another Vindication

The following has been submitted by the attending physicians of the Lincoln Institution:

Charges having been publicly made against the management of the Lincoln Institution, the attending physicians wish to furnish the following testimony: “The boys have always been suitably and respectably clad and furnished with a sufficiency of good food. Comparatively few cases of sickness occur, and none that could be ascribed to neglect or cruelty. In the few cases of serious illness that have occurred the attention bestowed upon the patients by the superintendent, matron and other officers was all that could be desired, and very commendable. The efficiency of the superintendent and matron, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Hugg, is seen in every department.

The untiring devotion of the lady managers and directors is admirable.
