A tract of 100 acres was patented around 1702. The property then passed to Richard Iddings. He bequeathed it to his daughter, Elizabeth Wayne, in 1753. She split the tract and sold various portions. James Neilly acquiring a portion of 4.5 acres in 1780.

The Glass tax returns show the following buildings: Log Cabin 28’ x 18’, on 1 floor with 3 windows of 8 panes; a Log Barn 26’ x 14’; and a Log Shop 24’ x 15’.
