SHERIFF'S SALE

06.22.1847 American Republican
BY Virtue of a writ of venditioni exponas, to
me directed, will be sold at public sale, on
TUESDAY, the 20th day of July next, at one
o'clock, p.m. on the premises, a certain messuage
and tract of LAND, situate in Reeseville,
Tredyffrin township, Chester county, (on the
Philadelphia and Lancaster turnpike,) bounded
by lands of Adley Potter, Henry Carter and others,
containing FIFTEEN ACRES, more or
less, with the appurtenances. The improvements
consist of a two story STONE HOUSE,
with a kitchen attached, wood house, a
pump house, spring house, &c. ; a large stone
Barn, and other out buildings. There is an
apple orchard and other fruit trees on the premises.
The land is in a high state of cultivation
and well fenced. The above described property
will be sold subject to a mortgage for $1700 and
the interest due thereon.
ALSO, a certain other tract of LAND, situate
as aforesaid, bounded by lands of Stephen Lammy,
Robert Glenn and others, containing 35 ACRES,
more or less, with the appurtenances,
and is divided into fields by good fence - well
watered, and highly improved. There are about
two acres of sprout land on the property, and the
Pennsylvania rail road passes through the same.
ALSO, at the same time and place, the following
personal property, viz: one
HORSE, cow, cart, harrow, 2 plows,
lots of gears, lot of hay, lot of manure,
looking glasses, SIDEBOARD, sofa,
tables, chairs, lot of carpeting, one stove, four
acres of wheat, six acres of oats, and eight acres
of corn in the ground, together with various articles
not herein enumerated. Seized and taken
in execution as the property of WILLIAM W. BARBER,
and to be sold by
J.B. WOOD, Sheriff.
