A VALUABLE MERCHANT AND Grist Mill at Private Sale
THE subscriber offers his Mill Property at
Private Sale, situate in the Great Valley, Tredyffrin
township, Chester county, known as the
Great Valley Mill, 2 miles north of Paoli, and
within 2 miles of Valley Forge, on the Great
Valley Creek, which affords a sufficient supply
of water at all seasons.
The mill is nearly new, built of
the best materials, and in the most
substantial manner, three
stories high, with three run of Burrs, completely
arranged and finished for doing Merchant and
Country work without interfering with each other,
and the location cannot be surpassed for either ;
it is within 2 miles of the Columbia rail road and
Schuylkill navigation. 12 1/2 cts. per barrel is the
expense of getting flour to Philadelphia market.
The MANSION is commodious, built and
and finished in the best manner, together
with all the necessary out buildings;
with bout 23 acres of Valley Land,
in a high state of cultivation. An Apple Orchard
of select fruit, with a variety of other
fruit trees.
This property is worthy the attention
of any person desirous of purchasing, as it is
seldom a property possessing all the advantages
which it does, and so handsomely situated, comes
into the market. One half the purchase money
can remain in the property, if desired.

See the David Meredith for the deed history of Chesterbrook Mill. Samuel Beaver posted numerous advertisements trying to selling the mill, 9/30/1845, 10/19/1847, 9/29/1853, 10/10/1854, 11/7/1854, and 11/12/1854 (notice of sale). He eventually sold it to Lewis Worrall on 3/27/1855 (deed X5-426).
