Significant Milestones

The Friends have provided support to the restoration efforts at Nottingham County Park for many years. Initially this help was in the forming of preparing areas for prescribed burns, including cutting fire breaks and taking greenbriar down from trees. Many of these workdays have not been documented.

2002:  15th February; 

2004:  Unit #23 was burned on 4/29. Unit #1was burned on 11/17.

2005:  12th February;  26th February;  11th March. 

2008:  In August a prescribed burn escaped and burnt over 100 acres in the Park.

2012:  5th January;  29th January;  8th March;  10th May;  13th September.
